Organising Committee

Davide Mattia is a Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Bath. His research focusses on the development of novel nanomaterials for membrane fabrication, the safe manufacturing of sustainable materials at a large scale and developing environmentally sustainable industrial processes.

Andrew Livingston is a Professor of Chemical Engineering and Vice Principle (Research) at Queen Mary University, London. He is passionate about creating novel technology platforms for manufacturing chemicals and (bio)pharmaceuticals, and has recently focussed on macromolecular pharmaceuticals such as oligonucleotides, peptides and complex molecules involving polymers with exactly defined monomer sequences.

Maria-Chiara Ferrari is a Professor of Membrane Separations at The University of Edinburgh. Her research focusses on the development of novel materials and processes for carbon capture using polymeric and composite membranes.

Greg Mutch is a Senior Lecturer & Head of Research (Chemical Engineering) at the University of Newcastle. His main research interest is gas separation processes (using sorbents and membranes), typically applied to carbon dioxide capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS), and direct air capture (DAC).
